Almost Done

This picture is brought to you by my sister Kristen, we were over at her house and of course had a Pirate patch laying around. Clark left it on while he played not even noticeing it was there.

Well we have one more week to go until we have to move in to my grandparents house. I am almost down with the painting and the carpet comes on Friday. Its going to be nice to relax and not work on the house for a while. I still have plans to fix the Kitchen cupboards and the Outside doors but there will be time for that when it actually warms up here.

It snowed again yesterday which has again delayed moving all the junk from the back yard, I'm getting really upset with the weather I wish we could just get done with moving all of my Grandpa's stuff so we can move in.

On a side note we enjoyed General Conference it was a nice relaxing day on Sunday. We gave Clark Easter Eggs with a goodie in each one and skattered them around the floor. He rolled around and played with them for half the day of course it was really cute.

My HUGE Project

My Dad and I have been working on this house since November, it my Grandparents older home which my Grandpa asked if I would want to live in it for a good renting price. Since I can't say no to my Grandpa I started on the project. First of all it took me a month to clear out all of the other items for my grandparents and clean the place to be ready for contruction. It has made a lot of progress and we feel we will be ready to move in soon. I will need to post some undate photo after we paint. I am READY to be done and moved in.

Hallway to Backrooms I have sanded the shelf and will be painting everything white to open up the whole area

This is the Backroom that has wood wall which makes it really dark, we are pouring cement to level out the floor to tile.

This is one of 3 cracks that ran through the room the only way to fix them was to cover them up with more cement.

This is the kitchen that looks like a hallway, to make it appear bigger we placed light color large 24X24 tiles down on the floor. Eventually I will be fixing the cabinets but for now it look tons better then it was. I wish I had a before picture!

This is the master bedroom that we had to level out with cement due to 2 HUGE cracks running across the room. My dad has stablized the wall to keep it from bulgeing out any more and also built a secure wall to help support the ceiling if something happened. The room as gone from a total mess to livable.
My Dad has been the one that as worked the most on this home and I try to learn as we go. Thanks to my Dad we will be done soon.

Back to Blogging

I have taken a break from blogging but decided to get back into it, to let everyone know how we are doing. My son is reaching his 8 month mark and is growing so fast. He has started rolling around everywhere it's fun seeing him concentrate on his task, but it not so fun when he get into everything such as DVDs. My husband is still enjoying is job at the university, he is waiting for July when he will go to Comic Con with his buddies.

I have been keeping myself busy taking care of my son and spending everyday trying to fix of my Grandpa's old home to live in. I did take up walking in the mornings at 6 am with my sister. I feel I get more accomplished during the day when I do. There are so many thing we have been doing so now I will show you a bunch of pictures.

We took Him swimming for the first for Mike and I's anniversary, he was pretty scared at first but warmed up to the idea in the end.
